What is Eye Sling Shot Lions?
Eye Sling Shot Lions was an attempt to create a kind of gesamtkunstwerk through the integration of; spoken word poetry, motion graphics, interactivity, computer programming, pop songs, pop song fragments, prints, photography, short digital film clips and objects. In large measure, Sling Shot was a response to the program established with Throwing Apples at the Sun. Sling Shot follows Throwing Apples form by beginning with the creation of a small number of original typefaces (figure 1). These typefaces then became primary building blocks within the aesthetic of the complete Eye Sling Shot Lions corpus.
